TiVoBridge is a packet repeater for both the TiVo discovery beacon and Multicast DNS (used in ZeroConf, Bonjour, Rendevous, etc.) protocols. It is intended as a way for TiVo boxes and other devices or programs that use either of those (normally single-subnet) protocols to see each other across routers in a complex local network. A sample configuration is included for a two-router, three-subnet network, but the program is very flexible and can be made to work in a number of network configurations. TiVoBridge was developed under Linux, but the source code is fairly portable. NOTE: While the program does what it is designed to do, it is not yet confirmed whether or not TiVo video transfers work across subnets with its assistance. If you can confirm this, then by all means let us know! Download (Tar/GZ) | |||
